Frequently asked questions

Have questions? We’ve got answers. For everything else email us on marhaba@shurfah.com.

How is Shurfah different from traditional Arabic language courses?

Unlike traditional courses that focus on Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), Shurfah specializes in teaching, culture appropriate, practical, spoken Arabic dialects used in daily life across the Arab region. Our platform connects you with native speakers and focuses on real-world conversations you'll actually use - whether you're navigating markets, engaging in business meetings, or chatting with colleagues.

What level of Arabic do I need to start?

None! Shurfah is designed for complete beginners to advanced learners. Our personalized assessment places you at the right level, and our structured curriculum ensures you progress naturally from basic greetings to complex conversations. Even if you've never spoken a word of Arabic, you'll be having simple conversations from your very first course

How does the corporate training program work?

Our corporate programs are customized to your company's specific needs. We provide group classes, one-on-one sessions, and specialized business Arabic modules. Your team gets access to our platform, progress tracking tools, and regular assessments. We can focus on industry-specific vocabulary and common business scenarios relevant to your field. Programs can be scaled from small teams to entire departments.

How much time do I need to commit to see results?

Most of our learners see significant progress with just 2-3 hours per week. Our flexible scheduling allows you to book sessions that fit your calendar, and our platform lets you practice in short bursts throughout your day. Many students report being able to handle conversations within 8-12 weeks of consistent practice
